    So glad we had the chance to greet the ocean — a bit rough that day — at El Puerto de Santa Maria, not too far from Jerez. That’s Cádiz in the background. The girls loved it and there were plenty of surfers enjoying the waves. 🌊

    The beauty of Córdoba has surprised me, especially the richness of detail and history on so many façades around town. Another small, unrelated treat: many cafés here serve my favorite Portuguese espresso. ☕️

    After leaving Germany yesterday under a downpour of rain and endless gray, I’m in awe of the sunlight and warmth that’s greeted us in Córdoba. It’s been a long time since I’ve lived in such a climate. ☀️
